Predicting with Profections: Adele as a Chart Example

There are so many fun ways to incorporate profections into your timing practice. Let’s explore the chart of Adele and look at her current vs her upcoming profection themes.

Adele is born in May 1988, so she is currently 37.

A Leo, Sun Profected Year

This highlights her second house and its associated themes from May 2025 – May 2026. For that period, Adele is in a Leo / Sun year, as she has the sign of Leo on the 2^nd house cusp (yes, you need a whole sign format chart for this!).

For this year, you could say Adele is in her Queen era, with regal themes, along with topics around taking charge, being in the spotlight, as well as stepping into authority and sovereignty being highlighted, thanks to the influence of Leo and the Sun.

A Temporary New Ascendant

If you think about her ascendant profecting – moving – from its natal position of Cancer into Leo for this year, you can start to get a feel for the shift in energy. For this 12 month period, Adele gets to try out a Leo rising vibe.

What’s in the Spotlight and When?

Now the profected year isn’t making any of this happen – these aspects are in the birth chart and part of the blueprint for life.

What the profections help do is turn the cosmic spotlight towards a specific planet, and any of its aspects, to highlight when in your life particular aspect themes may be more active and pressing.

Turning 38, a Third House Year Plus Virgo and Mercury

In May 2026, Adele will turn 38. This shifts her into a third house year, for the period from May 2026 – May 2027.

At that time, Adele will shift into a Virgo/Mercury year, which has a very different feel to a Leo/Sun year!

Now we see the ascendant adopting the path of the craftsperson, the one who engages in trades as well as skills and talents. The worker with a special skill ready to polish and improve their offerings to a new standard.

With Mercury in this square to the MC/IC axis it feels like choices being made the shift the patterns and rhythms around these important areas of life.
